Medical studies now show evidence-based art relaxes, reduces stress, and restores.

Take a break!

Relax!

Come on in and enjoy the 1-minute music, images, and happy vibes. (no sales or hype)

Welcome to a world of Great Lakes inspired art and a fresh, new, artsy way to experience Great Lakes interiors and living.

This is the first video in a new blog/video series, and it’s called Beautiful Like You.

This video uses images of a 36”x36”acrylic painting called Happy And Graceful. The painting is soft and soothing with an abundance of happy flowers over many layers of complex artistic techniques. When painting this kind of art, my goal is never to reproduce a scene from nature but to use images to capture “the essences” of human emotions. I combine Evidence-based Design knowledge from actual scientific studies of health and design with artistic skill and then create art that makes others feel happy, healthy, and healed. Anyone can make this claim, but I back my claims with rigorous evidence-based design training and certification. I am EDAC (evidence-based design) certified.

Enjoy the video!

Today there’s lots of avant-garde things happening around the world, and some of them are being created from right here in the beautiful Great Lakes region. Evidence-based is a new avant-garde way of designing. Architects, interior designers, and even artists like me are using credible medical studies to guide and influence our designs.

Hello everyone!

I get to create in such a magical area surrounded by so many magical people. As many of you know, I like to donate my art, especially to health organizations. I recently donated two paintings to an online auction held by the Mackinac Straits Health Foundation in lovely St. Ignace, Michigan. What a beautiful area! What great people! I got to meet Kimberly North and Director Mike Grisdale. I was told this painting found a home on beautiful Mackinac Island. Did you know cars are not allowed on the island? Other than emergency vehicles and electric wheelchairs, how do people get around? Walking! Biking! Horse and carriage! So amazing! If you’ve never visited the Great Lakes, you’ve got to plan a trip!
