In The Garden Of Aglaea
I can’t count the number of different techniques and layers it took to create this work. It was a long process, but I like the effect. It reminds me of an ancient Greek garden. Lush and large and full of wonder and mystery.
In Greek mythology, the Charities or Graces (Roman name) were three beautiful goddesses. Stories of the beauty, splendor, and brightness of Aglaea come from long, long ago. Today we still benefit so abundantly from the influences of Classical Greece and Rome.
It was easy for me to imagine walking in an ancient garden with the beautiful Aglaea and her sisters. Many of my ancestors lived on the lands where these myths were told.
