As I’m painting I have so many decisions to make, especially when inside an active floral like this one. Does this color work next to this color? Does this shape complement all the other varying shapes around it? However, one big question I always ask myself over and over is, Will this make others happy?

Sometimes life gets chaotic…and it seems to be winning…but not in this painting. The colors and flowers win—without a doubt—over the pretty but rather chaotic stems and strokes.
