Up close, this painting is really beautiful. It’s one of my favorite paintings. I deliberately used the dramatic colors of the sky to contrast with the different shades of the delicate purple flowers. The flowers were designed to reach upwards, as if to rejoice and celebrate life and give us lots of HOPE!
